Lily is an especially warm, attentive, enthusiastic, reliable, and conscientious nanny. We hired her to take care of our baby for 50 days. Not only did the baby become fair and chubby, but the baby’s schedule also became very stable, and during that time there were almost no issues with gas or the “second-month fussiness”! This was all thanks to Lily’s rich childcare experience and knowledge, which helped us, as first-time parents, resolve worries and quickly respond to all kinds of problems. We are truly very happy that we found Lily to take care of our baby!
First of all, we could really feel that Lily likes babies very much and is always patient and gentle with the baby. She would do all kinds of exercises and gas-relief exercises with the baby, talk to him, sing to him, and show him black-and-white cards. When the baby cried or fussed, she would always carefully check each possible reason one by one. When feeding, she also paid close attention to the baby’s drinking condition and never rushed; after the baby drank some, she would carefully burp him.
Our baby’s throat was relatively narrow before. At first, we used a size 1 nipple, and it was Lily who noticed that the flow was too fast and that a little milk would always leak out when the baby drank. She was afraid the baby might choke and suggested that we switch to a size 0 nipple. After switching, the baby had no problems drinking milk. Although the size 1 nipple had a faster flow and could make feeding quicker, Lily said safety was the most important and that it was okay to go more slowly. This really showed how attentive she was to the baby. Later, after the baby grew a bit and no longer leaked milk at all when drinking, we switched back to the size 1 nipple.
Our baby never had diaper rash, thanks to Lily patiently washing the baby’s bottom every day, airing it out in the sun, and applying that purple diaper cream. Our baby also never developed any rashes, and the skin stayed moisturized and dry, also because Lily washed the baby’s face and applied baby face cream every day.
Lily also helped our baby establish a very good sleep schedule. Before she finished the job, the baby could consistently fall asleep before 9 o’clock, and had a good understanding of day and night: during the day there were several short naps plus one long nap, and at night, if there were no needs, the baby would sleep with eyes closed. Overall, nighttime sleep was more settled than daytime sleep.
There is one more thing for which we are especially grateful to Lily. After our baby was born, he mostly drank ready-to-feed liquid formula. As a result, when we switched from ready-to-feed liquid formula to powdered formula after one month, the baby became very uncomfortable, could not sleep soundly, and kept crying and fussing. It was Lily who first noticed that it might be a formula issue and suggested that we switch back to ready-to-feed liquid formula. After we switched back, the baby returned to his previous stable state. If Lily had not discovered this, we might have thought it was just second-month fussiness and continued giving him formula that was not suitable. We are truly grateful that Lily helped us avoid this pitfall that was making the baby uncomfortable, and also avoided a situation where the baby would cry and fuss for several days because of discomfort while we became exhausted along with him.
Next, I must say that Lily’s cooking is super delicious; every dish is chef-level. Every time we ate, our whole family would say “wow” several times. Her cooking is not only especially varied, with several kinds of ingredients in every dish, but she also pays great attention to fresh ingredients. Whenever we bought food that was not very fresh, she would carefully guide us on how to choose next time, so that every meal had fresh and tasty dishes. We looked forward to every meal so much!
Lily is also very clean; I think she is even cleaner than everyone in our family. The kitchen, bathroom, and baby’s room were all kept especially neat and clean by her. If the baby’s waste got on clothes, she would first hand-wash them clean before putting them in the washing machine.
