Attends hospital births?
Bringing babies into the world is my jam! I adore supporting you during your hospital birth, ensuring you feel seen and heard with unwavering support. Whether it's training individuals for a specific outcome as a competitive gymnastics coach, tending to the injured or at-risk skiers as a ski patroller or nurturing little ones as a childcare provider and mentoring families in positive parenting, my journey has always been about uplifting others. I thrive when collaborating with fellow superheroes like midwives, nurses, and doctors. Together, we're like a synchronized dance troupe, perfectly complementing each other. While our medical pros handle the technical side, I curate a calm atmosphere of care, comfort, and unwavering support.
Attends birth center births?
I love the idea of birth centres but sadly, BC doesn't have any.
Attends home births?
I love home births!! What better way to labour, but in the comfort of your own home, walking where you feel most comfortable, snacking whenever you need to, no interruptions from the beeps of machines or commotion in the hallways. It's the most magical way to bring baby into the world to join your family. La Bassine pool for rent or included at no charge to birthing packages (excludes basic package).

We hired Shelley to work with us and our newborn son, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Shelley is so knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. One thing we loved a lot about Shelley was that she always lifted us up and made us feel comfortable asking even the simplest of questions. She explained herself very clearly and always talked us through why we should be doing things one way or another. There was never any judgement whatsoever from her even when we made mistakes. Obviously she took incredible care of our newborn son, but she also allowed us to get the rest we so dearly needed. I would highly recommend Shelley to anyone looking for a great Doula!

Shelley was a much needed support in my postpartum time of need. With 3 kids and the youngest not sleeping/ colicky, Shelley stepped in so I could get some time to recharge. Shelley was helpful, caring, and compassionate. She was not rattled by a crying colicky baby, and made me feel comfortable enough to leave my baby in her care while I got other tasks done. I highly recommend her. To any mom who is questioning whether support is needed, don't wait, and reach out to Shelley, you won't regret it and will wonder why you waited so long.
