I am so thankful for Jin's support during my VBAC. She was everything and more than what I wanted and needed. Due to the birth trauma I endured from my first pregnancy, I was so worried about my capabilty of giving birth. I knew that I needed someone who believed in me by my side. From day one she believed in me and helped me see that I was stronger than I thought. She is soft spoken, educated, and most importantly honest. I appreciated her honesty throughout my time with her. When my water broke and we headed to the hospital, she was there when we got there and I am so thankful for her prompt character. I held her warm hands throughout my whole labor and I will remember those moments for the rest of my life. She also remembered to give me water and honey to help keep my energy up when no one else did. She always made sure I had a say in any decisions that were being made. There are so many things she did for me that I will be forever grateful for. Thanks to her support I can finally say I did it, I had my VBAC!
Thank you Jin, you were beyond my dreams and better than my midwife. Yes, I said it. May the universe bless you with endless abundance and happiness.

We found Jin online while searching for a birth doula, and what we wanted was someone who would advocate for us in any situation, whatever came. Jin was exactly that.
This was our first baby, so a lot of what we brought to Jin was worry. They met all of it. Prenatally they gave Yerim exercises, massages, the works, and more than anything they helped us put our concerns down and feel ready.
Labor was long and Jin was with us for every hour of it, through early labor and active labor, in the trenches with us, hip compression after hip compression, hold after hold. They kept Yerim moving through the hardest parts and kept my head on straight at the same time.
What we appreciated most is that Jin is real. Birth is real and it can get messy but it doesn't mean it's not beautiful! They tell you what's actually happening, and they do it while being the most supportive person in the room. If you want a doula who will be honest with you and stay right beside you the whole way, that's Jin.

Jin was such fabulous support for me and my partner during pregnancy, labor, and in early postpartum! They were a gentle, reassuring presence who helped me fully trust myself and my body. Even thru the twists and turns of the end of pregnancy and during a slow, stalled, and then very fast labor, they were steadfast and calming. I couldn't be happier with my labor, which was quite healing after a rougher one with my first baby. This was in large part because of how encouraging Jin was about me making it the ritual space that I wanted and needed. They were also great with movement techniques to help baby move into a better and better position in the last week or two of pregnancy. I can't recommend Jin enough!

Hello, my name is Nikita Satiacum. Jin was my doula in my last pregnancy and lord, do I wish she was with me with all four pregnancy. She is so warm, so sweet, so loving and also intuitive. She knew what and when I needed more than what I did during the most challenging time in my life (labor) just having her by my side in the hospital to gave me all the strength and comfort i could ask for. She helped my husband help me and man, them two together was the team! We connected emotionally, and mentally so much that I could even call her a dear friend. I couldn't recommend her enough. I wish everyone could have the experience and care I had, to be lucky enough to work with Jin. The way she set up my delivery room and added homey touches so it didn't feel so hospital-y, she had snacks and water, and also took labor photos I'll cherish forever. ?? 1000/10 experience.

It was incredibly helpful and valuable to have Jin support us. They are a calming, down-to-earth, and compassionate presence in the chaos of the hospital room. Jin supported us during my long and difficult birth, remaining extremely attentive during labor—taking care of both my partner and me, and ensuring we understood what the doctors and nurses were saying. They helped us make difficult decisions without judgment. It is clear that Jin is deeply invested in this work, consistently going above and beyond, and we both felt the genuine care they put into their craft as a doula.

Looking back on my pregnancy, labor, and birth, there were a million and one things that were unpredictable but the one certainty we had was the loving support of Jin. First of all, they are an incredibly kind, empathetic, and spirited human, never failing to offer sincere, non-judgmental, and gentle encouragement at every point. Jin supported us intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, and resource-wise through a major decision when we shifted our birth plan from a hospital setting to a birth center experience. They helped me work through the fears that came up with this choice and lean into courage on our own terms. Their guidance made it more possible for me and my partner to identify our values more clearly and live out our intentions for my birth. Whenever we had curiosities, questions, or random concerns that popped up, Jin always made it safe for us to express them openly without fear of anything seeming too trivial or ridiculous to ask as first time parents. It was so easy and effortless to work together that by the time I was in labor, my partner and I totally and completely felt safe and cared for in Jin's presence. During active labor, Jin was locked in and there with us every step of the way (e.g. feeding us, hydrating us, on their hands and knees, counterpressure massages, responsive for every contraction, guiding my partner, cooling me down when I overheated, offering affirmations every single time I felt like I couldn't do it anymore, providing ideas, holding barf bags, etc.). Honestly, I'm not sure how I would've made it through a spontaneous unmedicated birth after a super long labor without Jin being there right by our side. Truly, we are so grateful for Jin and our baby girl is so lucky to have entered the world knowing love, constancy, and tenderness in this way.

I feel incredibly grateful to have had Jin by my side for the home birth of my child. Jin’s presence was a blend of expertise and intuition that made me feel seen, supported, and deeply respected. From the very start, they created a warm, trauma-informed space that allowed me to relax and trust their guidance. During labor, Jin had this almost magical ability to know just what I needed without words—especially in their touch and their silent support as I moved through each contraction. They provided gentle care not only for me but also supported my partner in a way that made us feel like a true team.
After my child was born, Jin continued to be a source of comfort and reassurance, checking in with us so much more than I expected and offering the debrief I needed to process the birth and celebrate myself. I can’t express enough how much it meant to feel unconditionally accepted in every step of this journey. Jin, you gave me the space to truly be myself in such a critical moment for self-trust, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide and companion.

As new parents, we found ourselves unprepared for many challenges beyond simply caring for a newborn. We faced the difficulties of healing from surgery, navigating postpartum depression and anxiety, battling insomnia, and enduring the relentless toll of sleep deprivation. While we anticipated these possibilities, experiencing them firsthand felt like pure survival. During this intense time, Jin was a true lifeline for us. Not only did they provide exceptional care for our little one, but they also extended an incredible level of love and support that we didn’t realize we would need so desperately.
Jin’s approach combines clear communication, extensive baby knowledge, and valuable parenting wisdom, along with the gift of holistic healing. Their dry needling, custom teas, and tinctures brought us much-needed relief, while their chef skills—especially in Korean cuisine—were an unexpected delight. We’re already considering having a second child, in part, just to work with Jin again.

As a Black, queer solo mom, I anticipated an awful birthing experience due to medical racism. Choosing Jin was intentional, in that how they show up, present and engaged I hope to offset some of that. Loving, reliable, Covid cautious and politically safe made my experience one of a lifetime. I will be forever grateful.

Jin was an incredibly comforting presence during what was a very chaotic birth. They found a way to hold and respect our identities, relationships, and human experiences in a way that was incredibly helpful to have. If you're considering having Jin as your doula, I highly recommend doing it! They're the best!

Working with Jin postpartum was probably the best investment our family made. Coming home from the hospital and settling in with a new baby was overwhelming, but Jin supporting our family made this new journey and transition easier for all of us. They brought so much light into our house with the best care not only for our new baby but us as new parents. From support with lactation and chest feeding, to cooking hardy and delicious meals, to words of encouragement and just general listening Jin was amazing. They allowed us to show up how we were each week, and affirmed our experiences - both the fun growth moments and the more challenging aspects of newborn life. We felt cared for as a family and we appreciated all that they did to support us. We highly recommend working with Jin if you are given the chance!

We could not have asked for a more loving, kind, competent doula than Jin. We are so grateful to have worked with them during this formative time in our family's life. Jin was communicative and clear, held space for our needs and was flexible about timing. Our baby loved spending time with Jin. It was beautiful how they showed up to hold space for whatever we needed - acupuncture, foot baths, herbal teas, changing our bed sheets, taking out our garbage, holding our baby while we napped. They helped us during lactation struggles in the early days, and encouraged us to do what we needed for our own self care when our baby was a bit older. Jin's loving presence made us all feel calm and well cared for every time. Highly recommend working with this wonderful human!

I am so happy to have found Jin for our birth and postpartum doula. They showed up with the kind of empathy and compassion I didn't even know we needed. They were open and timely with their communication, which was especially helpful for us as first time parents. Jin was so supportive of all of our opinions/thoughts/feelings, offered guidance when asked, and was open to feedback and behavior changes when we needed. They were a fabulous support for myself and my partner during a 48 hour induction/labor/birth process, and a lifesaver for our postpartum days. It was really nice to have a constant source of support with knowledge/experience in the area that weren't the hospital/medical staff, who were constantly going in and out. I highly recommend, and will absolutely reach out to them if we decide to grow our family.

Jin was extremely respectful and supportive of my choices. They modified their approach flawlessly based on my current needs when in labor, vs what I had imagined I would need to feel supported. Assisted us with helpful prenatal moves based on my specific needs, teaching us various methods of comfort, moves for preparing my body for birth, and ensuring we knew when and how to use them. They were wonderful to work with and would strongly recommend them to anyone!! Cannot say enough positive things about their skill, care, and warm personality. Love them!!

Dear Family,
if you are considering having Jin as your birthing dula, I personally would NOT HESITATE.
Jin is a capable and experienced Dula who understands the sacred experience of birthing. Their respect for our boundaries and needs were honored and encouraged. Also, Their voice is soothing and calming, like a steady stream falling down a small collection of polished stones. They bring warmth, refreshment and healing with their presence and years of wisdom. I felt completely safe in their care and instantly knew I didn't need to worry. They worked well with my partner and calmly coached them through 10 hours of labor.
After our home birth, Jin came to visit as often as we needed and was always available to speak through my worries and fears that arose. in my experience, I noticed they are sensitive to all people, accepting and completely nonjudgemental. As a trauma survivor, Jin was able to kindly and lovingly help me through emotional experiences that arose unexpectedly. Furthermore, I could not recommend them higher to any human who feels in their being a desire to work with them.
Trust yourself. You know what you need. Honor your truth.

Jin’s presence and care was an incredible gift to us, helping us navigate a vulnerable postpartum period. We didn’t know what to expect, so we met with them beforehand and created a postpartum vision to help become more clear on our needs and desires for a smooth transition into parenthood. Once baby arrived, they were there physically and emotionally for baby and us, tending to our needs and adaptive to each parent- birthing or not. Every day during the rollercoaster of postpartum was different, and they met us where we were with so much tenderness, skill and amazing energy. Our queer, interracial family felt cherished and honored in such a beautiful way by Jin, and it helped us to feel so excited for our journey as a family in those sacred and challenging first weeks.

Working with Jin was a wonderful experience for my family. I appreciated how much intention they put into their work, and their ability to just “know” what would be most helpful. Their intuitive care helped us all feel supported and held as we adjusted to the arrival of our new family member.

Jin was excellent! They were really attentive to our and our baby's needs, very flexible, and a great communicator. They were always on time, cleaned up after us and themselves (including washing bottles/pump parts and baby laundry), and were great with our pets too! I appreciated their wholistic approach and that they were also able to help us start the transition to the crib. Highly recommend.
